11/25/2012 Great place!

One of the best looking riads in Fes, on a very central location: easy to reach by taxi, walking distance from the medina (downtown). Friendly staff and friendly french owner.

11/12/2012 Beautiful riad, excellent service and good location

We happily stayed at riad Layalina for 4 nights in October 2012. This riad is in a very good location, only few minutes walking distance to the Medina. We had a lovely spacious en-suite room decorated with traditional Moroccan style. Both rooms had comfortable firm queen size beds with clean bedding and extra blankets for cold nights. Bathroom was big, water was hot and strong. Free WiFi had good reception.

Breakfast was very nice everyday, freshly squeezed orange juice, yogurt, a variety of homemade breads, butter and jams, eggs, coffee and mint tea. There is a beautiful courtyard, where you can plunge into a small pool in summer time. Besides, you can also relax at the rooftop.

Staffs (Abdul, Anis, Fatima and one more lady that I did not remember her name) were all very friendly, attentive and helpful, wonderful service; we had in-room dinners for couple of times.

As I mentioned earlier, this riad is 5-minuts walking distance to old medina and souks. Coming out the riad door, left turn to walk out the alley, then left turn again, 1 minute late you are out building complex and you will see the parking lot on the right, just walk towards that direction, you will be in the market in 2 minutes. By the way, you can see the parking lot from the rooftop.

We highly recommend this riad and will return to stay there again for sure.

11/11/2012 Personal service at its best in wonderful surroundings

Layalina is a lovely Riad just outside the hustle and bustle of the Fez medina. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, going over-and-above time and again to make sure our stay in Fez was enjoyable. The Riad itself is a little gem with a beautiful small pool and citrus tree in the courtyard and a spectacular common reading room. We arrived just as a some chillier weather hit, and the staff lit up an enormous space heater for us in the reading room each night. Layalina was a fantastic retreat from the craziness of the medina and we really felt like it was our home away from home for the couple of days we stayed there.

11/05/2012 Beautiful riad

The riad is one of the most beautiful residences I have visited on our trip through Morocco and
Europe. It’s courtyard and reception/family room are stunning. The location is ideal–at the edge of the medina, its backdoor accessible from a street. The staff was very thoughtful, we enjoyed this jam of a place very much.

What a lovely place. Don’t be put of when you arrive by taxi and get dropped of in a dusty car park. As with most things in Morocco the inside is a lot nicer. Abdul made us very welcome and organize a tour of the medina. The rooms are all great.

09/16/2012 Sehr netter Service in orientalischer Herberge

09/07/2012 Maghredi Paradise

We spent two days exploring the shopping alleys, magnificent mosques and ancient tanneries from this riad. The refreshing plunge pool was wonderful after an afternoon of bargaining for an antique wool Berber rug. Breakfast was a peach smoothie, Moroccan tea, a variety of breads and an egg. The quiet magnificence with ornate tile floors and walls, wooden and stone carving details made this small hotel a very special treat.

06/27/2012 Cozy and Comfortable

Once we found the Riad, we were very happy to stay there. it is actually in a very good location, near the Medina entrance and the parking area where taxis can access. The rooms we stayed in were snug, pleasant and with reliable air conditioning.

Breakfast was bountiful with different kinds of homemade traditional breads, eggs, coffee and of course, mint tea.

We also had a fantastic guide to the Medina named Khadija (khadijarassame@hotmail.com). She was so knowledgeable and obviously well-respected that we hired her for two days. Several people on the streets including merchants we were not visiting stopped us to say how lucky we were to be with the nicest guide in Fes. I would heartily recommend her.

05/13/2012 Accoglienza familiare in ottima posizione
