Fez riding : pony-trekking
The Aïn Amyer equestrian and pony-trekking centre is a riding club for sport, leisure and tourism, situated just ten minutes from central Fez: affiliated to the Royal Moroccan Equestrian Sports Federation.
You’ll find Arab – Barb horses there for riding out and trekking ; Anglo-Arabs and thoroughbreds for dressage, show-jumping and sporting rides.
Starting from Fez, there are many all-day hikes. Mount Zalagh can be explored alone, but for Jbel Zehroun, Jbel Kandar and the Middle Atlas, we recommend that you take advantage of a local guide.
Fez Golf : Royal Golf
Golf at the foot of the Atlas mountains ! This course is situated 3 km from the airport at Fès Sais, on the road to Immouzer and 15km from the royal city of Fez. In the heart of a huge olive grove, up against the foothills of the Atlas mountains and at 700m, the Fez Royal Golf Club has been admirably laid out by the famous golf course architect Cabell B. Robinson, who knew just how to work within the contours of the site without ever damaging it.
Delightful golf on 76 hectares, with nine holes and five water hazards. Sweeping fairways, big bunkers, large, undulating greens and multiple tees (up to five per hole) make this course one of the loveliest in Morocco.
Fez Golf : Oued Fès Golf Resort
Following the course of the Oued Fès for 6,344 metres, this wonderful 18-hole course has a touch of natural, aesthetic refinement. It’s a work of art, on either side of the canal, bordered by a wide avenue of eucalyptus which shades the celebrated public promenade.
The course was designed by the Scottish firm of Jonathan Gaunt, whose experience on the five continents, and whose fame, need no further explanation. Responding to the brief to create a course with wide appeal, with a golf school which would welcome beginners to the sport, his design meets the needs of golfers of all levels, set in the middle of a lush, green oasis.
Fez ski : Michlifen ski resort
At 1,800m, the Michlifen ski resort, near Ifrane, is only sixty km from Fez. Enjoy the Middle Atlas snow for several winter months! The ski slopes are made up of five pistes, and stretch from 1,800 to 2,000m altitude. Michlifen is the second Moroccan winter sports resort, after Oukaïmeden, and has snow cover from mid-November until March.
The little resort is surrounded by a cedar forest, which stretches as far as the province of Khénifra.
Fez tennis : Country Club
Situated in a haven of greenery at the foot of Mount Tghat, Fez Country Club is open all year round, just a few good serves distant from Fez town centre!
Thanks to its modern infrastructure, the club offers unbeatable comfort in the heart of an area entirely given over to sport and relaxation. Sixteen tennis courts, a large infinity pool, an athletics track, a multi-sports ground and a mini-football pitch are set out on a wide swathe of greenery, almost eight hectares in total.
The youngest players can start their training on one of the three mini-tennis courts, and can amuse themselves in a supervised playground, while their parents take advantage of the sports on offer, or just lounge on the terrace !
